Step 5 of 6 in the Setup Wizard · ← Back to the overview
Your branding is saved and now you're on Payment Setup. This is where you connect your Stripe account, so your clients can pay you for your platform.
What is Stripe?
Stripe is one of the biggest online payment platforms in the world. It securely takes card payments from your clients and pays the money out to your bank account.
When a client subscribes to your platform, they're charged through your Stripe account. Your payouts, compliance and tax settings all stay inside your own Stripe account.
How the money flows: your client subscribes → paid through your Stripe account → paid out to your bank.
How Stripe charges
Stripe has no setup fees or monthly fees. Instead, it takes a small fee from each payment your clients make. The fee depends on your country and the type of card. See Stripe's current fees for your country at stripe.com/pricing.
No Stripe account yet?
If you already have a Stripe account, skip to the next section. If not, here's how to set one up:
Sign up at dashboard.stripe.com/register with your email.
Verify your business: your business details, what you sell, and your role in the business.
Add the bank account you want your payouts to go to.
TIP: Stripe's own guide, Set up your Stripe account, walks you through creating and verifying your account, plus tips for keeping it secure.
Connect your Stripe account
On the Payment Setup step, click Connect with Stripe.
Click Connect with Stripe. Stripe opens in a new tab.
Log in to the Stripe account your agency uses and complete any remaining verification details.
In Stripe, review your details, then click Agree and submit to finish connecting.
Come back to the Setup Wizard and click Check connection.
Seeing "Finish your Stripe setup"?
This means your Stripe account is connected, but Stripe still needs a few more details before you can start charging customers. Click Finish in Stripe to complete them. Then come back and click the Check connection button next to Finish in Stripe.
When it's all working
You'll see Stripe is ready, with:
Connection: Connected
Payments: Ready to accept payments
Launch status: Ready to continue
Seeing an error? It's almost always to do with the information provided to Stripe. Log in to Stripe and make sure all your verification is complete and your account is fully active, then come back and click Check connection again.
