What your brand includes
You can have more than one of each. For example, you might write differently in your emails than in your ads, so you could set up a separate voice for each. Whichever one you mark as the default becomes your primary voice or design.
This guide follows the walkthrough video step by step, so you can keep it open while you watch or come back to it later.
Part 1: Creating your voice
Start a new voice. In your brand settings, choose to create a new voice and click Generate.
Add samples of your writing. Paste in examples of how you actually write, such as emails, posts or website copy. You can also upload a document or scrape a web page.
Click Generate. It studies your samples and builds a voice that sounds like you.
Review the result. Your voice is organised into sections:
Guidelines: the overall rules for how you write
Pillars: the core qualities of your voice
Keywords: words and phrases you like to use
Banned words: words you don't want to appear in your content
Make any changes. Add to or edit anything that doesn't feel quite right.
Click Save. This is important. Your voice won't be stored until you save it.
Tip: The more samples you give, and the more they reflect how you naturally write, the more accurate your voice will be.
Part 2: Creating your design
Gather your assets first
Before you start, have these ready:
Primary logo
Dark mode logo
Icon
Fonts you like to use
Colour palette
Setting it up
Start a new design.
Upload your logos and icon. Add your primary logo, dark mode logo and icon.
Add your fonts and colours. Enter them yourself, or ask for help (see below).
Review the result. Check the colours and fonts look right for your brand.
Click Save Design. As with your voice, nothing is stored until you save.
Not sure about colours or fonts?
You can describe what you like and it will suggest options. In the video, this prompt was used:
"I really like purple, black, white and grey as my branding colours. For fonts, I like clean and modern-looking fonts."
It then picks a colour palette and fonts based on your description, which you can adjust before saving.
What happens next
With your voice and design saved, the assets you create on the platform will use your writing style and your visual branding.
You can change either one at any time. Just go to your Workspace settings and edit your voice or design.
