You can create your own tools using your agency's knowledge and processes. A built-in Tool Creator does most of the work for you, so you don't need to know how to write prompts.
The tools you create are your own IP: your expertise, packaged up for your clients to use.
Watch the walkthrough: How to create and edit tools
What's the difference between a tool and a mentor?
| Tool | Mentor |
Best for | One specific job | Broad advice across lots of topics |
Example | Walking through one SOP | Answering questions across all your SOPs or business information |
How to create it | Lab Tool Creator | Mentor Creator |
Both creators are in Tools → White Label.
How do I create a new tool?
Step 1: Generate your tool
From the main Lab chat page, go to Tools, then White Label, and select Lab Tool Creator.
Describe the tool you want, as if you're chatting about it. The Tool Creator will generate everything you need: the category, description, system prompt, user prompt and questions.
Copy this information and keep it somewhere safe. You'll need it in the next step.
Step 2: Add it to your platform
Log in as an agency admin.
From the side menu, select Agency Admin, then go to Editor. This is where you'll see all your tools.
Click Add Tool.
Paste the information from the Tool Creator into the matching fields.
Save the tool.
You can turn the tool on or off from the Editor at any time.
How do I edit a tool?
In Agency Admin → Editor, find the tool you want to change.
Use the icons next to it to:
Turn it on or off for your clients
Delete it
Edit it by clicking the pencil icon
In edit mode, you can update the name, URL, category, description, system prompt, user prompt and temperature.
Add an input field if your tool needs one. Not every tool does.
You can also add a new category from this screen.
Can I edit the tools that come with the Lab?
No. Pre-built categories, trainings and tools can only be hidden, not edited. If you need something different, create your own tool, training or category instead.
Should I hide the White Label tools from my clients?
Yes. The Tool Creator and Mentor Creator are for you, not your clients, so turn the White Label tools off on your white label platform.
For your own work, like building tools, use lab.aipreneurs.com. That way you can keep tools turned on for yourself that your clients don't see.
Common questions
What does the temperature setting do? It controls how closely the tool sticks to your instructions. Lower settings keep it more precise, and higher settings give it more flexibility. Test a few settings to see what works best for your tool.
Do I need to add an input field? Not always. It depends on what your tool does.
Where do I go to change a tool later? Go to Agency Admin → Editor, find the tool and click the pencil icon.
